Itinerary

On arrival at the Coimbatore Railway station / Airport, get assistance and Proceed to Isha Foundation – Isha Foundation is a nonprofit,spiritual organisation founded in 1992 near Coimbatore, India, by Jaggi Vasudev.

It hosts the Isha Yoga Centre, which offers yoga programs under the name Isha Yoga. The foundation is run “almost entirely” by volunteers. The word isha means “the formless divine”.

Enjoy the tranquility of the place and then proceed to Ooty, (85Kms/3Hrs). Ooty is also known as “”the Queen of Hills”” in South India, situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level,the Nilgiri Mountain Railway that connects Ooty with Mettupalayam is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Check-in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay at hotel.

Post breakfast proceed your full day Ooty sightseeing covering Avalanche Lake, Emerald Lake, Avalanche Lake – At a distance of 26 kilometres from Ooty, it is one of the most beautiful lake’s in Ooty. The lake is surrounded by a rolling landscape with blooming flowers like magnolias, orchids and rhododendrons.

Apart from enjoying the picturesque views and
the tranquillity in the vicinity, the place also has ampleopportunities for fun and enjoyment for adventure freaks. After the Avalanche Check Point, it is mandatory to ride in government forest vehicles (INR 150 per person) to reach the lake. Emerald Lake – The lake is a part of the Silent Valley National Park in the Nilgiris District. Witness the sunset and sunrise in the Emerald Lake which is a must see. 

Ketti Valley View – a popular vantage point situated on Ooty – Coonoor Road in Nilgiris. The view of Ketti from the viewpoint is majestic and often compared to views of Switzerland. There is also a telescope room to get a closer view of the valley and
surroundings. his valley also houses a popular brand of the needle making industry, known as Pony Needles.

Return back to hotel. Evening free for own activity. Overnight stay

Post breakfast check out and proceed for half day Ooty sightseeing covering Botanical Garden & Rose Garden.

Visit Botanical Garden – a vast expanse of lawn like a golf course, going steeply uphill with variety of trees and shrubs as well as some conservatories with exotic ferns and plants. Highlight of this park is the fossilized tree belonging to the pre- historic era, kept as natural exhibit. According to carbon dating, it is about 20 million-year-old.

Rose Garden– the largest rose garden in India which dispalys more than 20,000 varieties of roses collected from different parts of the world. Unusual colors of black and green roses are also found. Get a spectacular view of the entire Ooty from Rose Garden. Later transfer to Coorg (240Kms/6Hrs). On arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Coorg hotel.

Breakfast, proceed to Tala Kaveri, the origin of river Cauvery on the eastern slopes of Brahmagiri peak at 1350 metres altitude, trek in Brahmagiri hills gives a breathtaking view of the hill ranges and is excellent for photographs The steps leading up to hills is steep but is climbable, later visit Bhagamandala – situated at the con uence of two rivers, the Cauvery and the Kanika, third river, the Sujyothi is said to join from underground. 

Visit to the temple dedicated to Bhagandeshwara (Lord Shiva) and get the blessings of the lord. Post lunch visit Abbey Falls – Located 8kms from Madikeri town. Abbey Falls is situated in the middle of coffee plantations and spice estates. It is one of the best waterfalls in Coorg region. Abbey Falls cascades down the rocky slopes from a height of 70 feet into a pool. A hanging bridge has been built across the gorge here, from where the visitors can get a beautiful view of the falls. A Kali Mata temple on the other side of the bridge is also not to be missed. The path leading to the waterfalls is lled with thick vegetation and offers wonderful experience. (For those who has not visited on the previous day).

Madikeri Fort (closed on Mondays) – Still preserving its old charm, Madikeri Fort is one of the most famous historical landmark located in Coorg. An excellent example of spectacular architectural designs and styles of construction, the fort also houses Madikeri Fort Museum & the Kote Maha Ganapathi Temple. The elevated structures of the fort also provide panoramic views of the town, which is undoubtedly breathtaking and beautiful. Sri Omkareshwar Temple – The Omkareshwara Temple is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated in the town of Madikeri. The speciality of the temple is that its construction re ects a mix of Gothic and Islamic styles.

Raja’s seat – The Raja’s Seat, which means the “Seat of Kings”, is a brick and mortar structure with four pillars. It is a popular viewpoint inside a splendid garden of seasonal owers and musical fountains. The best time to visit Raja’s Seat is during the early morning and evening hours to witness breathtaking views of Sunrise & Sunset. There is also a attraction of the Toy Train for children to enjoy a spectacular view of the mountains. Later proceed to hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Coorg hotel.

After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Mysore
(110km/3hr) , also knows as’ The City of Palaces”” On arrival check
in to the hotel and relax. Later proceed for half day Mysore
sightseeing.

Visit the Mysore Zoo it was started by chamaraja Wodeyar X initially as a private Zoo. The Zoo has about 1500 animals, ranging from the opossum to orangutan. This Zoo houses a wide range ofanimals. Mysuru Zoo was the first in the country to obtain gorilla and penguin’s.

Later proceed for the famous Mysore Palace (or Maharaja’s Palace). This historical, royal place of residence of the Wadiyars is a splendid architectural feat and houses some of the artifacts from the historic times. The Palace is set in carefully laid out gardens. It is a beautiful three storied stone building of fine gray granite and rich pink marble domes, overlooking this structure is a five-storied 145 foot tower whose domes are gilded in gold.

In the evening Krishna Raja Sagara Dam built over the River Cauvery near to the conjunction of three rivers namely, Cauvery, Hemavathi & Lakshmana Thirtha. Get mesmerised by colorful & stunning Brindavan Gardens known for its symmetric design and illuminated terrace gardens.

Explore shopping as Mysore is also an ideal destination for buying
Sandalwood products & Silk sarees. Return to hotel in evening.

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden, previously known as the Rose and
Cypress garden, got it’s name from the red roses that bloomed
year-round in this garden. It is considered as one of the most
diverse botanical gardens in South Asia and was built back in the
year 1760.

Cubbon Park, officially known as Sri Chamarajendra Park, is a landmark ‘lung’ area of Bengaluru city, located within the heart of the city in the Central Administrative Area. Originally created in 1870 under Major General Richard Sankey, then British Chief Engineer of Mysore State, it covered an area of 100 acres.

Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum is one of the prime attractions in Bangalore. It is a great option for children as it features many interactive exhibits.

Vidhana Soudha counts amongst one of the most impressive as well as the most magnificent buildings in Bangalore. It rises to a height of almost 46 m and is mainly famous for housing the Legislative Chambers of the state government.
